Mobile phone network

Inventory number: T99 2/12/1
Location: Hall 2

In the mobile telephone networks the subscriber set is connected to the so-called base station through a radio channel. The radio telephone has no permanent radio channel but the system assigns a radio channel out of the free channels of the base station in the vicinity of which it is actually located when call is initiated or received. The sign exchange and the voice transmission path are set up on different channels. The voice transmission path is not permanent either; it may change several times during a call due to quality and change of place. The set obtains supply voltage from a local power supply unit: from an own or car battery, possibly from a network adaptor.
