The handheld receivers mounted on the telephone side are equipped with wooden handles. Soft iron shoes are connected to the magnet arranged in the handle. The coils are mounted on them, with the thin, soft iron membrane just before them. Due to the current - alternating similarly to the speech - the membrane is excited to vibrations and produces sound. Its main elements are: horseshoe permanent magnet, bobbin, membrane made of thin soft iron.
